Everyone seems to think that because you do DM flourishes and you do them well - and we saw no other variety of flourishes being done... that you're completely copying someone else and what they have created.

I personally think you appreciate DM more then other flourishers and enjoy his style more, thus you perform his stuff. I don't see an issue with how the video is made nor do I find it awful that you do his flourishes a lot and do them well. Others like to nit pick and criticize but who cares, this is what you enjoy doing and it's something that makes you happy so I suggest doing it how you want.

Everyone develops a certain style over a period of time and perhaps learning so many DM flourishes has helped you do that. Kudos to you. Don't let others get you down, this is an art form - embrace it for what it is, there will always be people to knock you down.

I for one want to see the flourish.

We criticize because we care. I find it distasteful that the word "critic" seems to be a dirty word to some people. Criticism is essential to self-improvement. You may enjoy the level you're at now, but who's to say you can't enjoy doing better? To tell someone to just do it how they want regardless of any valid critique or constructive suggestion or advice is basically no better than telling them to **** off.

I understand what you're Steerpike and I agree with it. My comment wasn't as well thought out as it should be but we all know there are times that people criticize and make comments that don't help anyone to improve.
