Do you have a deck of Jerry's?

i just wanted to know who has a deck of jerry's

if anyone has a cool story as to how they came by their deck, please share.

i see the occasional one on eBay but that's about it.

so yeah just come and rub in the fact that you have a deck and i don't, or if you're feeling particularly generous or in the mood for a story, then share your anecdote. plus add any info you might have on other types of rare and exclusive cards. i love playing cards and their history.

cheers

I've got one red and one blue deck. Never opened, and probably never going to be unless I get a load more. Although I was thinking about opening one and getting each card signed by a different "big-name" magician. So if you see someone at next year's Blackpool Convention being a groupie with a deck of Jerry's and a Sharpie then that'll probably be me.

I have yet to see what is so special about these cards.
Everyone talks about them as though they were actual nuggets of gold.
And the only thing that I've heard about them that's special is that they're out of print.
So, my question is to anyone who owns a deck and has used it, not just let it sit in their basement and collect dust:
Are these cards as great as all the hype makes them out to be? Are they superior in any way to any other cards?

Just knowing that you own a deck of cards as rare as Jerry's is what makes it so special.

The fact that almost everyone wants it, but can't have it, and that they sell for hundreds of dollars on the internet helps too.:D

I have yet to see what is so special about these cards.

The same reasoning applies to the Black Ghost deck. What's so special about them? Their rarity and aesthetic value - to hold them in your hands, knowing that not many people have felt, touch, and played with it - a catharsis.

Cheers,
JTM

more so for me, i do love their exclusivity but also i have a huge amount of respect for both dan and dave buck and Chris Kenner. there are so few of these decks available to anyone. i want one for my deck collection.

I bought 2 thousand of them from Jerry's Nugget casino in 1992. Don't worry there will be pleny of chances to get them from Theory11.
