I believe it's intended for the beginner Magician. Not necessarily child. If you don't believe it fits your style, I would recommend moving on and not wasting your money on material you won't use. And if you should decide you want to learn the material, there are plenty of more appropriate places to learn the effects.
A lot of online shops have that kit for around $60 - for that price, heck no. However, my local Walgreens has the kit for $30. I considered getting it but decided not to. For 30 bucks, it wouldn't be a bad deal. You'd learn a few new things, get a thumb tip and some pretty cool cards. Heck you may decide you like the cups and balls after that set and opt to go buy you some nicer ones.
The only thing I don't like about that set is the fact that Criss Angel's logo is plastered all over all the props.

If nothing else, he's great at marketing himself.
Like RK Said, at $60 it's probably not worth it, I'll have to check my Walgreens, $30 might not be too bad a price to see what's really inside, if anything I can have fun with the tiny cups and balls set.

Picture 2 shows you what's inside. Thumb tip, vanishing ball in vase, cups and balls, 2 packs of cards (probably stripper and svengali), 4 sponge balls, glass frame penetration....and some other things I can't really make out. Looks like a pretty standard set to me.

That's true, it would be nice to see the contents of the dvds, I've had a few people ask about the kit for a present for their children so I felt like checking it out for myself.
Yeah if I were going to get it, I would cover that logo up with a black sharpie.
