Heya guys, I am working on my close up show and I have found that while doing so certain music goes with certain tricks for me. It makes practicing a lot of fun. Just a thought. You guys might want to try it out.

I like using instrumentals when I do a close up show, it seems kind of distracting when there are lyrics. I want more of a background song, not a front-ground song. So usually the music that I use would be from Dana Hocking. I'm doing a talent show on Wednesday and I'm using "Matter" (I think that's what it's called)

I'm thinking of getting a stage show together, it will probably be in a year. But I love silent stage shows with music.

I have been working on my stage show for almost a year now, and it just keep changing, sometimes because a routine sucks and the last time since I saw Jeff Mcbride perform his show...it`s never ending..

P.S. I recommend you to check "Dear Agony" or "Phobia" of Breaking benjamin..those albums are the best...also check "Forget it" that`s one of my favorite songs

I do like My Chemical Romance... I generally don't listen to music when I am practicing magic...
Though Misery by Green Day sometimes flows nicely...
I am not that into silent magic (cause I like to talk a lot), so generally... I don't use music to practice.
However, I do make reference to songs as much as I can.

Awesome. I know, Gerard Way is Hotototototototot. And yes that is magic related be cause he is magical.
My friend always says: "When watching a magic routine or show it should always be like listening to your favorite song."

Yeah I would agree with what was said earlier, that instrumentals are probably better, lyrics might be distracting, or maybe choose something with only few lyrics. At the end of the day this is a matter of comfort and taste though.

Well, I usually listen to anything and everyting (except heavy metal and trance). I LOVE music . But my favourite songs, Songs that I find are too good for words and just inspire me not only for magic but also in general are listed below. The lyrics might not seem very 'inspirational' but the beat just does something to me. Hard to describe.
