Hey all,

Just wanted to share a short video. My wife (not a magician) wanted to get an activation code for Ingress (Ingress is a game produced by Google that includes elements of geocaching, capture the flag, immersive story line and Cerca Trova like puzzles- feel free to google it for more info).

She and I put together a short magic effect to try and get an invite and it worked!

The video won't make much sense to anyone not familiar with the game, and forgive her acting. I'm just proud that she did it and got her invite code! (their response on the original video was "Woah.") In short there are two factions and the first symbol is one side: the Enlightened, and the second is the Resistance.
(Man this sounds really geeky as I type it lol)

Anyhow, enjoy!

That is pretty cool! May I ask how you did it? I'd guess that your using f****p**** and have glued the bits you don't want to burn, but it looks too much like real paper for that.

Also kudos to your wife, she did that really well! Kinda want to know more about the actual game now!

Haha, very cool. Clever way to get an invite. I play myself, and I won't bother sharing my lame (somehow successful) attempt at getting an invite code. It was nothing remotely as awesome as this.

It's a pretty fun game and the storyline is quite interesting (www.nianticproject.com).

It was our 9th anniversary last week and on the way to the restaurant she wanted to check out the game on my phone. She got to hack a portal on the way there and she was hooked. After a nice romantic dinner, she says "so we still have time before the baby sitter has to go." Let's go find some more portals!" So we spent the remainder of our time driving around the city. ha ha. Awesome.

I have a wife who loves to play games and enjoys magic. I'm a luck fella.

@Simon_Magic the effect is called Fuse. It's a fascinating product available at most magic dealers. Worth picking up.
