I believe that this is the same as SW elevator, and regardless, i'd like to thank theory11 for releasing this.... it has been requested by many people, including myself, and i think i speak for most of them when i say thanks for releasing it...

im not trying to brown-nose, or suck up to T11, im just impressed that they listened to what the people wanted and delivered... im now off to purchase and practice it....

if you too are grateful, why not post a reply:)?

Yeah. It looks like the best 1 on 1 yet. The price raise is understanable since the effect is really good. =)

hmm well the moves themselves arent too hard as the gimmick does most of the work for you...

lmao jkin, its hard at first, but it seems after a fair amount of practice and angle checking, its about a 6/7, im being quite fair as to get the moves smooth it will take lots of practice but i'd expect everyone would be able to do it... :) hope that helped, and its defo worth it... :D

You got me there with the first part of your post. Haha. :D

This is similar to Fallen by Daniel Garcia. However, Shifty is inexpensive, and looks great!

I think it's fair to say that Fallen and Shifty are very much unalike. The only similarities they have are the rising-card principle. As for the methods, they could not be any further apart. For one thing, Fallen gives an illusion of a rising card - whilst Shifty really does rise.

I am immensely happy that they released this; I have been waiting to see a performance of this from Kenner for many years now. I could not believe how beautiful it could look (and does look) in his hands. Fantastic! :)

i completely agree, this kicks 'fallen' in the ass and sends it back to last week, and im glad i got someone with the gimmick gag....

i'd review but im too busy practicing, but trust me, its worth it :D

ive shown the video to a few people and they couldnt believe it.... :) now they want to see me do it!!

edit: i think, with practice, theyre's no noise issues...

One thing I find a little unfair though, is how this is practically the same as Shigeo Futagawa's *Elevator Card - with the exception that the deck is held perpendicular to the standard Dealer's Grip. I'd have really liked to see Kenner's S.W. Elevator, as I think it is a startling routine.

Perhaps Chris himself could shed some light? :)

Regards,
Jordan

*The Elevator Card
Created by Shigeo Futagawa and published on page 12 of Shigeo Futagawa's Lecture Notes (May 2000).

I think I might stick to fallen because its more visual

but i like shifty because the card is face up the whole time

I would say the only similarity between this and Fallen is that a card rises to the top.

With Shifty the card is face up in the middle of the deck whereas with Fallen the card is placed face down.
With Fallen the cards visualy fall through each other and the deck is only lifted vertically once. In Shifty the deck has to be lifted each time the card moves. The audience doesn't get to see the card moving just paused positions during the effect.
I love Fallen and the reactions that I get from it and think it is well worth the money. I also like Shifty and will probably use it as a lead-in to Fallen in my ACR.
Cheers!
