Guys,
Wow. Lots of rumors. Just to clear some things up, no one from theory11 has ever claimed that there are only 3,000 decks. I'm not really sure where that even came from. None were reproduced or reprinted-- certainly none of the ones we have offered on theory11. The Wynn now uses completely
different cards. Tons of alleged numbers were posted by
members, which we have replied to and addressed as much as possible to keep the hearsay to a minimum, and facts to the forefront. In hopes of alleviating some of the confusion, here are the facts again:
Wynn Decks were made to be used in the Wynn casino-- not collected. Thousands of each color were produced. There are exponentially more red and blue Wynn's in existence than Brown's; hence the fact that the red and blues are now sold on countless websites, stores, and in Gambler's General. The rarity of the Brown's, coupled with the fact that we just plain liked the handling, feel, and fanning more than the Red and Blues, were the sole reasons that we chose to sell them and continue to love them.
As far as the Red and Blues fanning better-- in all of our testing, we have found nothing but the opposite. Red and Blues are printed on an entirely different stock, feel, and finish than the Brown's, and it shows. I've got one deck of each on my desk, and all have been used for about a week. Guess which one still fans flawlessly... the Brown Wynn's. You don't have to take my word for it-- I'd encourage anyone to get a deck of each and compare and contrast. To each his own, and whichever deck you like the best-- go for. Not everyone is going to prefer the brown decks, but I have a feeling that the difference will surprise some of you.
For flourishing, the red and blues are great-- they have a crispness to them and hold together extremely well in cuts, Sybil's, etc. But as a site that focuses just as much on magic as it does on flourishing, we went for what no one else had, and we went for what our team liked the best. We hope you like them as well.
