Haha, Thanks Tyler. See, even the guys that do magic for a living love camp. Aaron told me that if he had to choose to come to Canada once a year only, it would be for camp. That's huge.

I'm there

I can't wait. Working out the details about possibly being a counselor there this summer. I'm already looking forward to it, and it's only November.

I have a guess as to who's going to be there this summer, and please remember, this is only my guess....I don't have any inside information or anything.

I say it's going to be Criss Angel.

Reason 1: when SorcerersSafari said "this summer will rock"....rock....hmm....when I think of magic and rock in the same sentence I think of Criss Angel.

Reason 2: Last year the camp had Wayne Houchin as a guest. Wayne has worked with Criss in the past, and so I'm imagining Wayne sent Criss a quick email or call to let him know how damn cool camp was.

Reason 3: 2 years ago (maybe this last s ummer too) the camp had Chad Juros as a guest (the magician who was featured in Mindfreak episode "Chad's Story"). All linking Criss to Sorcerer's Safari by 1 degree of separation.

Reason 4: (this one's a stretch)....but....Sir Richard Branson was in Toronto last week to promote Virgin United. As a guest, he brought along Criss Angel to help promote the organization. Since Sorcerer's Safari takes place just north of Toronto, I'm assuming that the people from Sorcerer's Safari were at the event that Criss Angel was at (or at least met with him before or after). Maybe details were worked out there.

I don't know...I'm very excited about the whole prospect of camp this summer. I would really love to meet Criss Angel as well....not to mention all the other fabulous people who are this wonderful camp.

Well it would be interesting to meet him, but personally i do not like criss angel. Its been proven that most of the illusions that he performs contain confederates(frowned upon in the world of magic) Camera Tricks(he swears the show contains no such tricks but it has been proven that yes, he uses them frequently. Also Frowned upon.) He does not use much of his own material (which i can understand because it is difficult to invent Custom large scale illusions.) It was also talked about in another forum about how he would
use other peoples illusions like SAW2, Stigmata,Sinful and the trick he bought out so no more magicians may buy it, Surgical Reveal. Personally i would not want to meet him but it is very possible for him to come. It would be better for wayne to come again though.

It should be a rule for all the pros that if you come to camp once, you have to come from now on. That would mean that all the best guys would come back, with the odd exception like Peter Mennie. No thanks, I love camp and with all his wands I just can't second deal with it.

Ok...well...it's because of Criss Angel that I got into magic seriously. I started looking online for any info on him, and I came across Ellusionist. I then found Morrissey's Magic in Toronto (close to me)...and Browser's Den also in Toronto (funny, the only 2 magic shops in Toronto are literally 5 minutes away from eachother).

So yeah, I know he uses stooges, and he uses other's illusions (don't we all?) but still. There's something about him that's intreguing.

I'd love to meet anyone and everyone in the magic community from the biggest names like Ammar to the local people who I meet. Magic is so amazing, and I learn a little bit from each and every person I speak with on the topic of magic.

Again, I hope that Wayne is going to be back at camp (I think I heard that he'd love to go back) along with everyone else who's been there and loved it. I know I'm going to have a blast there this summer.

If Criss came it wouldent be that........entertaining. So who would any of you like to see at Sorcerers Safari Next Year?
I personally would liike to meet michael ammar, Jay Sankey,Dan and dave, Bj Bueno, Or Daniel Madison.

uuugh i was DREADING for this thread to come up,

magic camp is the best kept secret in the business! haha

I think i can confidently say that criss angel won't be coming up next year. Sure, wayne's worked with him, just as he has worked with a huge sum of other magicians. They did a special on chad (the love of my life.. ) but that got hooked up more the jonny thompson i think.

besides all those coincidences, i don't really knwo how many of the campers/councellers want him up for a week........

who i really want to see is DICK, we all loove dick
