Well i was wondering anybody here could give an tips on practicing and angles on the spread pass.

Here's my little problem.
When the spread is closed and the pack was levered, i can see it from the front that im actually switching 2 packets, i was wandering how to overcome this when doing the pass. If i move a bit to the left i can actually cover all the secret actions but when it comes to the front it looks awful. If this was done surrounding it should flash.

Anybody care to give any advice:D

I personally dont' prefer the spread pass teached by Chad Nelson. It flashes alot more than the version Dorian Rhodell(Avenue)/ Bill Goodwin(Reflection) is doing.

Thanks for any reply in advance.

You can do a left to right motion and it makes it look clean.

So you have the card replaced on the packet and move your arms to the left and do the pass as you come back to the right center to continue performing.

You pretty much helped yourself in your post.

Good luck.

Try and close the gap at the front with your hands. Also is you turn slightly to your left as you use your right hand to cover the replacement / clean up.

The real power of the spread pass is that it is done before the spectator thinks the move is done. Also everything looks as it should and is quite well covered.

When you break the spread to have the card returned you only have to move your left hand a few centremetres (like 10 15 at the most) to the left and it makes perfect sense to have the cards all squared up at the end to move back to the middle.

And what do you mean 'days' to get the move down.

It will take a few hours to get the everything down in terms of the mechanics. A few weeks to get it to feel right and a few months to get everything smoothed out. The biggest fault I see when people do the spread pass is it looks choppy. Remember you are spreading the deck to have a card returned and closing the spread and square everything up.

If your spread pass does not look like that you are doing it wrong.
