theory11 exclusive release :: BEE® STINGER Playing Cards

"We have no theory11-designed black decks in the works at the moment, so therefore I thought this discussion wasn't really in the spirit of advancing anything. I do like black and the majority would agree (it's a hard color not to like), but a bit of color will be on the horizon sometime this year. Decks are a personal preference, so enjoy as you wish."

"Today, months later, we are proud to announce exclusive distribution of Bee® Stingers in all BLACK and printed on the finest Aristocrat stock, to ensure incredible durability, fanning capability, and snap."

Speaks for itself.

Creeper,

Assuming you're trying to make it look like a contradiction - you are wrong. theory11 in no way developed, designed, nor created Stingers. They have been around for a LONG time in casinos worldwide (as stated directly on the product page).

We simply were able to get permission to bring them to YOU - available publicly - for the first time. If you don't admire that, to each his own. But at least respect the fact that it's a service to you - something we worked on for you - and I'm glad the vast majority are more than happy about that. But let's stay positive and focus on that.

I am so confused...Did theory11 hand pick the card stock and use the stinger design? Or did they just get permission to use the Casino qulity Bee Stingers?

You changed the color and finish. Thats not designing? I actually don't mind the looks of this deck, they look fine, but you aren't being truthful. These aren't rare. They aren't the original Stingers(which, I hadn't heard of before this) They are a revamped version...or a REDESIGNED version. They aren't rare.

It's not really designing if you just change the colour and finish, the pattern stays the same aswell as the face cards ect... and re-designing is alot different from designing, so therefor they did not lie.

Agreed, except for picking some up. Many fail to realize that cards are cards, bee's, tally's, bike's etc. does not make you any better. If your good then you can use any deck to do magic or xcm, this is what seperates the ams from the pros. Just don't get suckered into buying every deck that comes out.

-T.J.

T.J., it is not the pen which makes the writter; nor the deck which makes the magician/XCMer/...; but in the same fashion it is not the clothes, or the haircut, or the music that ye like which makes who ye are. That doesnot mean ye don't think every now and then that a new t-shirt looks neat, or ye'll get a new cd. It isn't used to change who is T.J. but it is bought/done because T.J. likesit and decided to give it a whirl.

And to all who complain about the ammount of decks being sold in the site, understand that Theory 11 is a BUSINESS. I would like to see half of all who are whinning do half as well as this site does. Yes, they market. Yes, they come up with x or y to sell. So does everyone else in the world. Atleast this site has the decency to offer quality products and an open forum for honest reviews.

As ye might see, I rarely post (especially since a blood load ago), but I had to speak me mind.

Creeper,

Changing the color on the court cards is NOT redesigning by any stretch. Stingers by definition feature the FADE to white border with exact Bee design, which these do. In truth, the only material change we made on these was the choice to print on a higher quality stock: Aristocrat.

Your post mentions that you "hadn't heard of" Stingers before this. Judging by the playing card knowledge (or lack thereof) prevalent in your post, there's a lot you haven't heard of. That does not mean they did not exist and are not very sought out by this industry's most respected professionals - many of which on our team that have time tested and USED these over the past several weeks: Jason England, Chris Kenner, Dan and Dave, Andrei Jikh, Dan White, Tom Isaacson, and myself.

Point being? Enjoy them. They're a deck of playing cards. Love them, or not - there's no need for the negativity. So for now, let's keep this thread on the up side.

w/e, I didn't start the negativity. And this isn't the first time theory11 released a deck that hardly anyone had heard of. O well. Deck looks nice.

Whats the other deck they released that hardly any one heard of?

Maybe your to young to go into casinos or dont have the means to play a lot of poker but a lot of others as well as myself have certainly heard of Stingers before but up until now couldnt get them unless they had a whole puched in them or a corner cut off (cancelled) and the stock was terrible so I'm glad to see a good quality stock for these.

Get a deck a try them out. I know you'll Fancy the Fade. I'm going to be getting some of these real soon.
Thanks for making these available T11 crew!!!

It's beyond that at this point. This is a cardistry center. You can expect decks.

So first you accuse the moderation/admin staff of deleting posts which were not deleted. You got proved wrong. No apology was present. Then you decide to start an argument with JB. Well I will say his wording was sneaky (as I'm sure he intended), but it is not a lie. I actually find it kind of funny how he worded his posts.

Anyway, these decks were once printed for casinos. Look at these photos.

Also, what cards did T11 release that hardly anyone ever heard off? The only decks that were released other than their own are Smoke & Mirrors, Split Spades, Bikes, Bees, Tallys, Brown Wynns, and Stingers.

Dude, the deck has been only been out for 5 freaking hours?!!! How much popularity do you think that it should have by now? It's already been really popular in those 5 hours!!! I bet everyone knows about it by now. And oh yeah, don't try to start an argument if you don't have a point. It is rude sometimes.

Theory11 realeases the top of the crust decks!!! Are you kidding me Creeper, you CREEP me out sometimes, and that's a little CREPPY CREPPER. Seriously, the decks that T11 realease are known everywhere; Split Spades Lions, Guardians, Centurions, Propoganda, Brown Wynns, Smoke and Mirrors, and later the Bee Stinger deck will be really popular. So yeah.

The Crepper Creeps me out like a Creep when he Creeps up to Creeping me.
