The idea of spinning a card (or double card) on top of the deck is fairly old. Most people do it with single one hand kick, propelling the card around. (The double card is turned face up onto the left hand cards, the left hand "kicks" and the card spins.) You are using the other hand as the motive power it seems. I do not know if John Cornelius is the person to credit for this, but for some reason his name comes to mind.

Also, having the cards "slip" around on the top of the deck was explored extensively by Benetar, Ascanio, and others.

Just a little history to put your idea into context.
