Well I could get a non-layperson to judge it too, but the trouble with that is that we tend to start scrutinizing the trick more than anything else.
Of course if others agree that there should be a non-layperson to judge it also then, it's very doable.

Not sure about you, but I usually perform with the intention to entertain laymen.
