As for the camera question, it all depends on your budget.
Mid range you'd want a GL1 or Cannon XL series
High range - Canon XL HD series.
Although anything HD right now is pretty much pointless, cause the consumer market doesn't have HD capability. Well, at least 90% of them don't... hell, even I don't and I'm a tech junkie... but I'm waiting like everyone else until they figure out HDDVD or Blu-Ray.
