I had the same problem! I've tried contacting about it several times during the year. Sometimes I get an answer but it hasn't lead to anything. Email conversation just drops dead. Sometimes there is no answer at all

sad I missed the wheel this time. There was no notification or anything about it going live. Had to trawl through a random forum post to find it. Disappointing.
Is the 24-hour timer bugged for anyone? This is the second time Im few hours past my last free spin already but it is still saying Im not past the 24 hr mark yet.

Same here. Last free entry was received yesterday at 10:03 am (Pacific Time). It is currently 10:21 am and still saying one spin per 24 hour period.
I had the exact same issue yesterday. Last free entry was received at 4:22PM the day before, and I got that pesky error message of one spin per 24 hour period all the way to 11PM. I even wrote to support and here's what they answered (if it can help anyone).

The free spin is not automatically sent to you every day, you need to go to https://www.theory11.com/holiday/contest every 24 hours to claim each spin. Come back every day for another shot! Remember - every new spin you earn uses a NEW link, so any links you have to old spins don't do any good once you use the spins.
Spins are restricted to one per IP address per 24 hours. If you have friends or family members on the same internet connection trying to spin as well, you will need to use a different internet connection.
If the page is showing an error after the 24 hours are up, you may need to clear your cache/cookies on your browser and hard refresh the page; this should then make your spin available if you have waited 24 hours since your last spin.

Hi Everyone...not sure if this will assist...but this also happened to me...twice when I thought the 24 hours were up. I went back to post 15 of this thread and I assume it gave me another link to the wheel page. I made sure to sign back in...check you are able to view your account and I have had no issues since. I see that some are sure that the 24 hours have passed ..but I always give it 5 -10 minutes more just in case. Also the other pieces of advice here are good to follow as well. Hey boss, yeah I was finally able to get a free spin around 11~pm ET yesterday. But the previous night I had got the free spin at around 6pm ET.
I think I figured out what is going on. It was also not letting me spin after 24 hours, and I checked my Elite Points history and I did not get 'credit' for the points I won yesterday at 9:06am ET until 2:06pm (not sure what time zone) yesterday. Today, it would not let me spin at 9:06am, or 10 minutes later, or even around 1pm ET still. I waited until 2:06pm ET and magically it let me spin again.
I did not win anything today, so I can't test this out again until I do...but maybe check your Elite Points history and see what time they were actually credited and you might be able to spin at that time the next day.
