i dont really have issues with others using them. they have just never really fit my style. i dont like having to carry a lot of stuff around or having to spend a massive amount of money on some special made coin or something when i can pick up a pack of Bikes for like 3 dollars. i have a few exceptions but using gimmicks can get out of hand. just isnt me i guess.
with that said, homer's work is amazing and is the one exception i might make eventually im just not willing to spend the money for the gimmick right now
It depends on the quality you're going for
also if you want half dollar or silver dollar.
Price can range drastically.
So if you want the best, it's gotta be a Lassen or nothing at all...
The routine on homer's Cointwo is a vanish and reproduction of three coins. He has both gimmicked and ungimmicked versions of the effect and also teaches a second coins across with three coins ala the deep...un gimmicked. I am awaiting my video based on having watched the development of these routines over the 18years I have been watching his magic. It will be high quality I am sure.
What is exciting is the use of technique that Homer uses to accomplish his effects can translate to more routines outside the scope of what is taught on the DVD's.
For example look at the 1 on 1 of Hellbound and compare that to the Deep routine on the video and you will see what I mean. To say that you won't get it because it requires a gaff means you will be missing out on something you can learn from.
Have you actually handled a Lassen craft coin gaff?
Judging by your comment you probably haven't.
There is a reason why Lassen products are quite a bit more expensive than Schoolcraft ones..... pure quality and craftsmanship.
