Hi,

My first impression was, that just an usual magic place.
Well, when i found the page where there was said the names of artists, then i got surprised.
W:H, and lots of others.
Then i started to look the products.
Amazing ! Simply amazing !
Bicycle guardians are very beautiful.
I'm going to pick up a deck after i post this :p
Anyway, the tricks are amazing also.
And i hope that, in some time, theres going to be something more amazing tricks, maybe even cards, or GEAR.

Anyway, very good site, especially the design is perfect.

11 points out of 10.

For what it is worth, the original hype was interesting, and the clues hidden in the video, html source, etc... were interesting. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed to learn that Theory 11 was another online magic shop, but after looking around I realized that those who view it as just a retailer have not taken the time to explore the site.

There is a lot of potential here. While I am not fond of the fast cut/MTV style editing, I understand that this is what is currently sells to the new, young group of upcoming magicians. I realize that it is necessary to compete visually with certain sites that have been built on the image but have not provided any substantive advancement for the art.

I have heard of most of the "11", and am impressed with what I have seen of the work of many of them.

There are two possible outcomes for this project: the first would be to become yet another magic site selling hype and hurting the art of magic; the second would be for the site to produce quality products, help provide training and guidance for people interested in magic, and help correct the unfortunate direction change the art has recently taken.

Only time will tell which of the two possible outcomes occur. I hope that the creators of this site achieve the goals that they have stated were the impetus for its creation.

I agree. I love the fact that the Theory 11 staff takes into account the future of magic, the younger performers like myself and they we are focused on and that they are going to strive to come up with effects that we will actually use out on puplic audiences instead of just in your bedroom with a webcam. The future DOES lie in our hands and they are (or so they say) going to hand us the best effects out there on a silver platter, or in this case a pretty website. The future does lay with us, so you better treat us with some respect, haha. I feel all important now :).

The site is awesome! The tricks are awesome too but the prices are kinda high, but I will probably get panic and distortion anyway.. Are there going to be any DVD's with more than one trick on them?

When I first visited this site, I took a few minutes to soak everything in. I clicked on every possible link, and enjoyed almost everything. I was also suprised at the free knowledge that is available if one just roams the site. The advice to beginning magicians is priceless, literally and metophorically, and other sites usually place a price tag on it. The only problem I've encountered is that the videos, especially under the media section, take more time than they should to load, and, as a result, I usually avoid the media section because it slows everything else down.

Cheers,
JTM

Hey guys,
Let me be the first to tell you that I was a HUGE fan of Ellusionist. I was always waiting for the next big thing to hit the shelves. Then I got a little tired from the lack of not only new products, but good products. Then I saw a few treads on E talking about the mysterious new magic site coming up. I decided to check it out and see what all the buzz was about... WOW. I can definitely say I am a true convert. Theory 11, eventhough they're not all the way set up, has come up with the best magic site I have ever come across. Lightyears ahead of the other so called "cutting edge" magic sites... Let's keep this site from turning into one of "those other sites"

Excelent work,

-Matt

Haha, yeah. I was the FIRST one to put a thread up about whatistheory11.com and the second they learned Dan and Dave Buck were involved, it got deleted.

I don't have the same enthusiasm for the Ellusionist forums as I did 3 months ago but Ellusionist is still a great retailer for magic and I'll still buy from them. They have the Shadow Masters coming soon, they have the Tattoo effects coming in November taught by RT_Showman aka Ray :). And the coin through bottle effects so Ellusionist still has life in them. Just be patient...

I can definitely see where you are coming from. I guess I just got all the stuff that I liked and didn't really find anything else that really made me think: Wow. That is an amazing piece of magic- I really want to be able to perform that one... E is still alright, but T11 takes the cake.

I feel very welcome here at the forums. Like everyone says it still kinda early for a good review but i like were this website is going. I'm really interested in the
1-on-1 section on this site. and how relax people on this forms.

We appreciate your input tremendously. Have you taken a look at the Beginners Video yet? Our talent is, most certainly, utilized in it. How about some of our products, or even around here in the forums and media section?

I think we've only begun to use the talent we have at T11. Much, much more to come. Thanks again for your thoughts! Hope to see you around here more often. :)

That "Beginners Video" could simply be dubbed "How to avoid the pitfalls of magic". I don't believe that video is strictly for beginners but for everyone. I think anyone watching that can take something away from all of the great advice included in there. Dan White's comments were particularly great in regards to the mad rush to learn an infinite number of effects or learn the latest and greatest release. So much great info in there it should be on the front page for every single visitor to watch.

The forum layout is very awkward...so much space between the posts...

Lol,out of all the things you could have said for the first post.I agree the Penguin Forums are way better but the rest of this site wipes them clear out water!
